Shanti Bergel serves as Executive Vice President at FunPlus where he leads investments, M&A, and strategic partnerships. Leveraging over 20 years of industry experience, he is recognized as an expert in gaming and digital entertainment.
Prior to joining FunPlus, Mr. Bergel was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at GREE where he was the chief deal architect and strategist behind the $210M acquisition of Funzio which achieved 5X top line revenue growth post-transaction and established a defensible beachhead in the booming RPG and strategy categories. He has held a variety of senior positions at both public companies and startups including Electronic Arts, Playfish, Three Rings, and Interplay.
Mr. Bergel speaks fluent Japanese and is an active angel investor focused on the disruptive application of mobile technologies. His current portfolio includes Bitkraft Esports Ventures and Super Evil Megacorp.
