Calling all indie developers! Are you currently working on a new mobile, PC, or console game?

Hot off the heels of our flagship pitches at Pocket Gamer Connects London 2025 we are back on the road, and this time we’re heading back to California, as we host our bumper Very Big Indie Pitch at PGC San Francisco 2025.

What is the Very Big Indie Pitch?

The Very Big Indie Pitch (Mobile + PC + Console edition) takes place within Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2025. This unique speed-dating format gives each developer five minutes (including Q&A) with each panel of experts, meaning all entrants will get feedback in real-time and post-event via email too. Think speed-dating for developers and experts, and you get the idea.

What do you win?

Aside from direct feedback on your game from established industry figures, the top three will also be interviewed and get editorial coverage in PocketGamer.biz, PCGamesInsider, The Virtual Report and beyond, making this a great chance to get you, your studio and your game played by the world. There’s also free tickets and event space at a future Pocket Gamer Connects up for grabs to the winner too.

When does it take place?

The Very Big Indie Pitch (Mobile + PC + Console edition) is scheduled to run on Monday, March 17. The session timings are 2pm–4pm (registration @ 1:30pm).

How do I get involved?

If you fancy the chance of winning the Big Indie Pitch, getting signed up couldn’t be easier.

The basic criteria:

  • You can pitch games for Mobile, PC and Console
  • You can pitch your game even if you’ve pitched it at a previous BIP
  • We prefer to see unreleased games, though we’re happy to see games that are out too
  • We allow studios with a max of 12 members to enter the Big Indie Pitch (this includes the staff of any partners you are working with)

The deadline for applications is Friday, February 28, 2025.

**Please note that the sooner you enter the better a chance of being shortlisted you have. We advise not leaving it until the deadline to apply. If you enter early and wish to update your entry, please email Jupiter Hadley at: [email protected].**

All submissions will be notified if they are successful in their application to pitch at the event. Please note that all entrants must be able to attend PGC San Francisco and Steel Media will not cover costs associated with getting to the event.

For more information please see our Big Indie Pitch guide here.

Any questions then please contact the Big Indie Pitch lead Jupiter Hadley: [email protected]

  • The Big Indie Pitch at PocketGamer Connects continues being a fantastic pitching opportunity and one of the most novel concepts for a fringe event. Being able to present our game to a wonderful set of judges and walk out with the golden bat gave us a sense of validation and motivation to continue work in our project like no other event has to date.

  • I've never seen so many fantastic game pitches with such passionate developers in the same room before.

  • I've been participating in the Big Indie Pitch on and off for several years now, and I'd recommend it to any indie in any stage of development. The speed-date format is an incredibly valuable exercise to gauge reactions, gain feedback, and overall help hone that elevator pitch to distil your idea into its marketable core.

  • The Big Indie Pitch is always my favourite part of the show. Not just to scout new developer talent, but also for the opportunity to give some feedback and helpful advice to the talented selected teams. It’s highly effective networking for me.
