Lisa Weeks Co-founder & CMO TurboPlay

Co-founder & Chief Marketing Officer
TurboPlay

Lisa Weeks is a cyborg composite of 25+ years marketing experience in the entertainment/digital media industries. In addition to co-founding and serving as the Chief Marketing Officer of TurboPlay, she is also an avid community builder.  She founded Geekaraoke in 2014 as a monthly tech networking event, and as the Organiser of the Seattle Game Developers Meetup, she grew the member base from 410 to 2400+ people, securing sponsorship from companies including Unity and Amazon.  Prior to her work in the Seattle tech community, Lisa has developed full-scale marketing campaigns for Nordstrom, Lucas Arts, Cartoon Network, Disney, and Mattel.

Lisa won Best Costume at SakuraCon 2004, and the fearless fusion of her personal passion for cosplay with her professional passion for marketing and technology solidified her “authentically weird” personal brand. She is an accomplished speaker and presenter, most notably The Economy of Weird from TEDxSeattle 2013, in which she advocates that we can all “wear our capes to work”.
