Shintaro is the CEO of DeNA, a global leader in developing and publishing mobile games, where he leads the company’s operations and corporate strategy in the West. DeNA has offices and studios in 12 cities across 8 countries with over 2,000 employees and has launched over 1,000 mobile games worldwide. In addition to popular native apps, DeNA currently develops and publishes mobile games for popular entertainment franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers and Final Fantasy.

Joining DeNA West in 2011, Shintaro served as Chief Financial Officer before moving to the role of CEO in 2013. Before joining DeNA, Shintaro was Chief Financial Officer at MediciNova, Inc. from 2005 to 2011. Prior to MediciNova, Shintaro worked at KPMG LLP and Arthur Anderson LLP.

Shintaro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California. He is a certified public accountant of the state of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
