Samer is a games business developer and marketing strategist focused on Arabic markets. Samer started his games career as a research analyst providing Arabic market insights to clients such as Electronic Arts, Wargaming, Travian and Nordic Game, among others. In 2014, Samer co-founded Play 3arabi, a regional mobile game publisher and launched with them over 10 mobile games across a variety of genres from kids and casual social games to strategy games. Currently, Samer helps international game localise, launch and grow their games in the MENA region. Most recently he worked with Lockwood Publishing to introduce and manage an Arabic version of Avakin Life. Samer is well connected to the region’s game developers whom he actively supports through various initiatives, most notably the Game Zanga game jam, the largest and longest-running Arabic game development event. Samer was named among GamesIndustry.biz’s 100 Game Changers in recognition of his work supporting Arab game developers.
