Don’t miss the Rose-Red City, Half as Old as Time…
To make your visit to PG Connects Aqaba even more memorable, we’re putting together the optional extra of a day trip to visit one of the wonders of the world: Petra.
The trip, which also includes a visit to the stunning Wadi Rum valley – taking in its thrilling ‘Train Ride Adventure’ – is planned for the day after the show, Monday November 10, so you should schedule to be in Jordan for an extra day after PG Connects if you want to enjoy this incredible outing.
The trip is very much a full day and will embark early (about 8:00am) from the Hilton Dead Sea Resort and Spa, returning in the evening (about 8:45pm). Trust us though it’ll be worth your while!
VIP Petra & Wadi Rum Trip
Petra is a truly magical site with an incredibly rich history to discover – not just the setting for Indiana Jones! – and is a must-see if you’re in the region. It’s on many people’s bucket lists and rightly so.
The Nabataean capital, with its famous architecture cut into the rock of the gorge, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and retains its magic despite being a popular tourist attraction.
The dramatic and spectacular Wadi Rum valley also shares UNESCO World Heritage Site status and, with an area of 720 km sq, is the largest wadi (river valley) in Jordan. The stunning scenery has hosted several film productions over the years, most extensively – and thematically – David Lean’s 1962 classic, Lawrence of Arabia.
The ‘Train Ride Adventure’ enables visitors to travel back to 1916 and board an authentic Hijaz Railway steam train, travelling through this magnificent location to take in an unforgettable panoramic experience…

The Pocket Gamer Connects Aqaba trip makes visiting Petra incredibly simple. It includes comfortable bus travel to the site; a full walking tour of the region with a guide; a buffet lunch; the ‘Train Ride Adventure’ at Wadi Rum; and refreshments throughout the day.
The trip covers a full day, and will embark early (see schedule below), returning in the evening about 11 hours later. Trust us, this day-long trip will be worth your while!
Your ticket includes all of the day’s travel, admission to the Petra and Wadi Rum historic sites, services of a guide, lunch, plus basic refreshments.
