We’re delighted to be partnering again with the Games Industry Gathering (#TheGIG) at Pocket Gamer Connects Digital #8!
The PG Connects experience is not quite the same without parties and mixers. While the return of LIVE events is not too far away, we have partnered with Games Industry Gathering to create a virtual networking experience on the final day of Pocket Gamer Connects Digital #8.
What is GIG?
Running since 2020, Games Industry Gathering virtually replicates the experience of connecting with industry friends and meeting new contacts, like we used to do during the various social gatherings during large-scale gaming conventions.
A randomised breakout room experience ensures that you’ll encounter new people, just like you would at an in-person event. Super casual and time zone friendly, it’s a curated safe space on Zoom where people in the industry can get to know each other.
Games Industry Gathering is held regularly and there is an application process to take part, but those with a ticket to Pocket Gamer Connects Digital #8 will automatically be invited to join the one on Friday, October 1.
Join us and over 3000 vetted industry folks taking part over Zoom. Think of it like the hotel bar during a gaming event, except it’s a much safer and more inclusive environment – and if you want a drink you’ll need to supply it yourself.
How do I join?
If you’re a registered ticket holder to Pocket Gamer Connects Digital #8, we will be emailing you during the conference week with the correct Zoom link to join the Friday fun. NOTE: There is plenty of space for everyone, but you’ll still need to grab a ticket for PGC Digital #8 to receive the invitation for Friday, October 1.
