The Top 50 UK Game Makers 2026 to be unveiled at PG Connects London
Welcome the second edition of the Top 50 UK Game Makers, a list that covers this island’s developers and publishers of all sizes working across multiple platforms.
It works very much like the renowned Top 50 Mobile Game Makers which the PocketGamer.biz team compiles yearly, but expands the criteria to include game studios creating for PC, HTML5, console and XR (as well as mobile, of course).
In short, a list of the companies in the games business considered to be at the top of their game – including the viewpoint of industry members who send in their list of nominations for consideration.
This is a celebration of all the great work being done across the UK games scene – and we’ll unveil the final positions during the running of PG Connects London!
Final placement in the Top 50 list is an editorial decision. The criteria to make the list includes the quality and quantity of new games released, financial performance over the last 12 months, notable innovation or impact on the industry, cultural importance, and future potential.
We’ll be revealing the companies that made it onto the Top 50 for 2026 during PGC London – January 19–20 – and the announcement is of course accessible to all conference delegates.
Anyone else who would like to join an array of representatives from many of the Top 50 UK Makers, can grab a ticket for PGC London.
As well as seeing the the full reveal, a ticket will of course grant you access to the entire conference (including partner events being hosted in the Barbican Centre).
