PG CONNECTS LONDON 2019 featured a mixture of main and mini-tracks focusing on key issues core to the mobile games industry – Live Ops Landscape; Influencer Insight; Monetiser; Game Changers – Hypercasual & Instant Messenger + Cloud & Connected Experiences; Connects X (Switch & XR); The Culture Club; Esports Academy; East Meets West; The Indie Track; Trade Trends; Developer Toolkit; The Growth Track; and The Superstar Sessions.
A revised, fully updated PC CONNECTS partner conference returned with State of Play (getting to market); Digital Discovery (marketing); Codeshop: Design & Development (practical dev knowhow); The Long Game (Live games & community); and 2019: A PC Revolution (why the PC games industry is going to change – forever).
And last but not least, new arrival BLOCKCHAIN GAMER CONNECTS offered 4 tracks – Blockchain Basics; ICO Insights & Token Trends; GameMaker Sessions; Link To The Future – as well as the Roadshow Pitching Sessions for blockchain game developers seeking investment.
Then there were the fringe events. From the Big Indie Pitches (both mobile and PC flavoured), SpeedMatch (developers meet publishers), Investor Connector (devs/pubs meet investors), Big Indie Zone expo, to a Mentor Lounge, Workshops & Roundtables, Journalist Bar (game consultancy on tap), the exclusive Speaker & VIP Reception, and the ever-popular Global Connects Party (open to all Connects delegates) – every one designed to increase networking and business-boosting opportunities.
